We had out YCM presentation last week, November 14, 2009, morning.

 

It was a good presentation and that very night, I received an sms from Kit (one of the panelists from YCM) informing us that although the panel has not come to a concrete decision about our project, she will be the mentor attached to our group. What does that mean? a common question asked by my groupmates and I can only suppose that we would most probably get a funding from YCM but it may not be the amount that we applied for. Isn't God amazing?

 

Cheryl did a wonderful presentation that day and I was glad (and thankful) for her, Jeffrey, Joey and Kai Qin being there too. They pretty much answered all the questions asked and all I did there was sit, listen and smile. Haha at least I did something, right? *grin*

 

The longer I work with them, the more I realized how blessed I am to have them as my groupmates. Not only are they efficient in their work (by efficient I mean, they get to do their work in time), they were also very supportive and helpful. Some of them would even go the extra mile and do more than their "job description", which is really what blesses me the most.

 

The camp is in two weeks' time. Next week, we'll have a dry run on site. I am praying and hoping that it'll be something that we'll enjoy as a group and learn from. So, for the last stages of camp preparation, this is what I have to remind myself of: Run the extra mile and put in 100%... After all, it's for the kids... you can't put a figure on them. They're valuable to Jesus... =)
